Welcome to Life Science!
Parents and Students:
I want to take a moment to welcome each of you (parents and students) to 7th grade Life Science. Life science can prove to be very interesting and a lot of fun, too! I hope my students will develop a love of science, in particular biology.
I just received an email from a former student who is now in 9th grade at Alpharetta High School. He was thrilled that he already knew so much about Biology because he had (apparently) learned so much in 7th grade. There is a huge connection between 7th grade Life Science and 9th grade Biology. I tend to remind my students of this off and on, all year!
PARENT SECTION:
In order to be a successful Life Science student, students need to devote a few minutes each day to studying vocabulary. We will make a variety of study aids towards this goal. Please encourage your child to use the study aids (note cards, flip books, notes) at home, daily!
I believe communication and cooperation between parents and teachers is essential for success in all academic areas. Please feel free to contact me if you have concerns or questions.
Please plan on attending curriculum night on August 26! More information to come.
